College Principal Runs for Charity!

Asha Khemka OBE, the Principal of West Nottinghamshire College, our founder and trustee is entering the 10km race in Wollaton Park, Nottingham on Saturday 15th June. The objective is to raise as much money as possible for the charity with proceeds supporting IAF’s work in Mansfield and Ashfield.

Asha’s Story:

"When I was first approached to run this race my heart sank... was there not something else I could do instead?... give a speech?... host a dinner? ... but then I realised that maybe by pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and by running this race I would not only be able to raise money for a great cause but I could practice what I preach... If I expect young people at the college and charity to challenge themselves then I need to lead by example!

So reluctantly, but with determination I laced up my trainers and took to the road on the 15th June. Every pound of sponsorship will deepen my determination, and more importantly help to change the lives of young people... so please give generously if you can!" Asha Khemka OBE
